nice pics tol, its nice that you focused more on the typical people that are often neglected on an event like this..people that take the opportunity to earn while others were focused on the main attraction..hehe..they are the socially and economically challenged people...

i stayed in Cebu for a few months but never experience Sinulog, but i'm always in awe with their traditions and foods! miss lechon, inasal at puso...
it reminds me of my late mother who's a fanatic of Sto. Nino, beautiful shots and there were Iza Calzado and a good friend Ms. Giselle Sanchez

I am happy to see your blog with the pictures during the Sinulog. It reflects the real life of the people in Cebu during this festival. Truly, the Cebuanos are deeply rooted in their faith as you have depicted in your photo-article. I've been in Cebu many times but wasn't able to observe this but I'm lucky to have your photos. Hope soon I could experience Sinulog. Thanks.

One of my favorite things about going to festivals are the street food. I don't really care about pricey and upscale restaurants. Nilagang mani, palamig, balut at penoy, solve na ko. Thanks for sharing your photos!
While most photographers focus their attention to the performers and the stars of the street parades...here you are --- taking beyond what is expected - the spectators and this is what a a photo enthusiast really does.

Galing mo talagang kumuha ng pic. Napakalinaw and vivid ang colors. I miss attending streetdancing festivals. Never been to Sinulog in Cebu though :(
awww, i love the pictures, the theme threading through each of them...especially the picture with the kid being raised high above the others...so symbolic.
ang loser ko lang. never pa ako nakapunta ng sinulog to think that i have lived for 20 years in negros or (near cebu lang). inggit!

nakakita ako ng manggang hilaw with bagoong my favorite!! nice post! i've been reading a lot of blogs about sinulog's main parade, this one is refreshing.. ;) and i love the street food!! bakit may nakita akong BBQ pinagpapasa-pasahan ng mga tao? ganun talaga? hehe sorry di ako naka-attend pa.. this yr sana e kaso something came up.. next time nalang ulit!

Just how I wish I have the luxury of funds to hop from one festival to another.
Sinulog is one of the best festivals in the Philippines. I could not forget the good old days celebrating Sinulog with painted faces, that was way back in the 80's..I used to live in Cebu before...and Sinulog festival is one of those memories.
Four years ago I was one of the locals watching and celebrating this annual events. Viva Senior Sto. Nino. Mabuhay ka!
What an experience! Nakakamiss tuloy ang Pinas. I haven't experience Sinulog ever. I am just wondering if I could ever will.

hindi pa ako nakakapagsinulog sa ibang province ang natry ko lang eh yung sinulog sa kabankalan sa negros
so crowded... it feels good to see those people who are really devoted to Senyor Santo Nino. :)
Congratz! You've got what a Sinulog really is and this is life in PH republic. The "off-stage" actors and actresses are the real participants of any festivities, merry-making or revelries for that matter. You're a "senseful" traveler. :)
